Downtown Grand Rapids Condo Update

Hillmount CondosHillmount Condos, located at 505 Cherry St SE, at the corner of College and Cherry, are an affordable downtown Grand Rapids condo option. Sales have been pretty good last year with eight condos sold including the last of the developer owned models. There are currently 8 units available for sale.

Hillmount condos are a newer condo conversion project that were originally apartments. The building itself was built in 1959 and developed by CWD Real Estate. These are an art/deco style condos and the building itself is solidly built so there is very little noise transfer between the walls and floors.

Located in the Heritage Hill Historic District, Hillmount is surrounded by mature trees and is only about 15 minutes walking time to downtown. It is a friendly community and a large part of the owners are young professionals and students.

Hillmount Condos offer several attractive amenities including a large, well appointed fitness center, one of the nicest roof top decks of any condo in town, a large laundry room and WiFi throughout the building. It is pet friendly and the bus stops right outside the door. Parking is in the back and there are car ports that you can lease.

Hillmount features several floor plans where many of the original owners elected to knock down some walls to make their living spaces more open and appealing. There are studios, 1 and 2 bedrooms to choose from. Many of the condos offer updated kitchens, hardwood floors and plenty of windows. Units on the south side of the building have balconies.
