5th Annual Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer & Food Festival

Grand Rapids Wine, Beer and Food Festival

Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer & Food Festival It’s Fall and that means that the pre-holiday, 5th annual wine, beer and food festival is almost here. Yet another great event being held in Downtown Grand Rapids. It is guaranteed that there will be something to tantalize your taste buds and everyone from the connoisseur to the novice will enjoy the opportunity to appreciate some of West Michigan’s premier brews, wine and fine food.

This year there will also be a variety of handcrafted hard ciders on hand. Fermented Cider was the favorite drink of Colonial America. Safer than water, and easier and cheaper to produce than beer or wine, cider was typically the first drink of the day. Men, women, children and even infants drank cider. It was said that George Washington even purchased hundreds of gallons of cider at time.

Festival dates are the 8th, 9th and 10th of November. Detailed times and admission cost can be found at the website.

Even though there are just small samples of wine and beer to be had, there are a lot of samples so please take care and have a designated driver with you.
